Scallywaggs Kindergarten caters for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. Scallywaggs Kindergarten is privately owned and operated early childhood centre.
The Centre is open all year. However, for approximately 2 weeks over the Christmas/New Year Period, the Centre will only provide limited positions, due to the limited number of staff and shorter operating hours (8.00 am to 5.00 pm). Care is available for children of working parents over this period. Parents are required to book their children in for the required days over this period.
The Centre is also closed for Public Holidays, namely Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queens Birthday, Labor Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Scallywaggs Kindergarten is licensed under the Children’s Service’s Regulations 2004 (NSW) and as such is required to comply with the regulations. These requirements include child care activities, experiences and programs, numbers of staff members and children and staff members’ qualifications. Parents are welcome to contact the NSW Office for Children on (02) 8219 3600 for further information.
Scallywaggs Kindergarten is also registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council and received the highest level of accreditation in May 2009. Our Centre is also a member of Early Childhood Australia (ECA) and the Australian Federation of Child Care Associations.
